Centenary Plaque
This competition was formed in 1996, kindly former member Norman Soulsby had a wooden plaque hand carved for the club to celebrate the centenary. It was decided that this competition was to be played yearly as a pairs drawn out of the hat. The first year was a success with Bill Morland and Colin Gittins winning the plaque. Unfortunately after just 2 years the competition lost interest with only 3 people turning up which made the competition singles. Two years following the plaque wasn’t played for, however in 2002 the competition was revived and won by Colin Gittins and John Smith.
