The Club
Darlington South Park Bowls Club was formed back in 1896. The club has a long history of champions and memories going back into the 19th century, anybody playing there will know photo’s of the typical bowler with his pipe and cap still exist at the club.
The Club was originally called Darlington Park until several greens in the Darlington area were built which meant a name change. In 1930 a 2nd green was built at the park due to the clubs popularity and the number of teams playing on the original green.
